Testimonials about Stasia Acrobats

Don’t take our word for it. Read what these testimonials say about Stasia Acrobats.

This group of young individuals are amazing. As a community member, I have had the privilege of watching their performances and enjoy the story told within the piece. The members of this group are dedicated to practice, performance, and more importantly each other. There is a synergy and team mentality behind everything they participate in. As a group, the team regularly volunteers their time to support other community events as well. For the past three years they have been the primary volunteer group for the Great Race for Education supporting the College of Eastern Idaho Foundation. The Acrobats always demonstrate respect, strength, and commitment. I am privileged to be able to work with this group and enjoy watching their talents.

How lucky is not only Southeast Idaho, but also the state of Idaho and even the entire region, to have talent such as the Stasia Acrobats in our community? We are so fortunate to be gifted with the unbelievable excitement, entertainment, and creativity that they deliver for every performance.

I have personally been so lucky to have watched as well as work directly with the Stasia Acrobats, and their professionalism and maturity is awe-inspiring. It is amazing that a troupe so young is so focused yet so entertaining at the same time. They performed personally for my Distinguished Young Women program and not only filled almost 30 minutes of entertainment during judges deliberations, but their routine was mesmerizing for the large crowd, and invoked a rousing standing ovation at the end.

I cannot thank Aric Nelson and the Stasia Acrobats enough for being so wonderful to work with as well as delivering 5-star entertainment for huge crowds every time.

Missy Harker – Director of Distinguished Young Women of Bonneville County

My name is Lisa Rhead, and I am the mother of Aly Rhead. Aly, has been an acrobat with Stasia Acrobats, since 2012, and my younger daughter Nique, was also an acrobat for several years.

We have been with Coach Aric Nelson, since he was a gymnastics/cheer/acrobatic coach at a local gym. When Aric decided to venture out and create an acrobatic troupe of his own, we didn’t hesitate to join him on this journey. Aric reminds me of the 1970-1980’s gymnastic coach, Bela Karolyi. He teaches much more than just the sport/art form of acrobatics. The acrobats learn discipline, how to work hard and persevere to achieve their goals and how to positively work with others, their troupe mates, and the people they work with at events. They are taught respect for each other and those they interact with, both within and out of the acrobatic troupe. The troupe is like a family, of which, I have never seen in any other sport. The acrobats will protect, defend and support each other without a second thought. The confidence and self esteem the troupe brings out of this diverse group of individuals is fantastic. They learn their weaknesses and strengths, and then work together to create awe inspiring routines that amaze all who see them.

Years ago, after my daughter climbed her first three high pyramid, Aric laughingly said “Well, you just lost your daughter.” I replied, “No, you just gained a family.” I had no idea how true those words would turn out to be, and eight years later, we have never looked back. We are truly an “Acro Family.”

If you are looking for something challenging, unusual, and out of the box, come check out Stasia Acrobats. If you are looking for entertainment for an event, come check out Stasia Acrobats, I promise you will NOT be disappointed. I believe in this troupe and what it does for all those involved, and would recommend them to anyone looking for something beyond the “norm”.

Stasia Acrobats                                                                              February 26, 2020

It is our pleasure  to write this endorsement for the Stasia Acrobats.  This group of amazing young performers have who have been so willing to attend the past two USO Shows that I plan for the Pocatello Veterans Home. WOW just doesn’t begin to describe their performance and the energy they exhibit with the jumps, balancing and lifts that are choreographed to fit with their music.

These athletes spend hours at practice to be able to flow smoothly from one position into another, having this dedication and commitment to ensure their performance is perfect. They exhibit TRUST. Trust that belief that as a group their strengths and abilities will be realized as they become one.  One person that trusts the group so they can become a whole, a whole fluid movement showcasing the talents of all, not just one performer.  They become figures forming a complete unit together having this relationship to stay on target for their performance that absolutely awes the audience.

Their interaction with veterans and all audiences that we have witnessed has been truly amazing.  Their enthusiasm and compassion is exhibited both on the floor as they perform like true professionals.  Their examples reflect their skills and respect for their leader, the community and their country.

Thank you again for asking that we write and express our appreciation to this group of athletes who bring so much joy into the Veterans home.  They have always stayed after their performance and visited with our residents, and they love to  have their pictures taken with our HEROES  who reside in the Pocatello Veterans Home.

Sincerely,

Toni Gimpel–American Legion Auxiliary liaison for the activities at the Pocatello Veterans Home and Past Department President of Idaho American Legion Auxiliary

Arthur Gimpel–Idaho Veterans Affairs Commissioner and Past Department Commander of Idaho American Legion

Stasia Acrobats is one of the best performing groups in our Eastern Idaho Community!!  Not only do they know how to keep you on the edge of your seat with their death-defying tricks, but in addition they are fantastic tumblers and know how to interpret the music in a way that moves you emotionally as well.

As people, you can’t find better behaved, and respectable students as you find in this troupe.  They train in my studio and never once have I had to ask them to stop running around upstairs, or to please clean up their messes, or even to make the doors are locked when they leave.  They are incredibly respectful of our studio space and of our company as well, which is a tribute to their Coach, Aric Nelson, who expects much from them, and they deliver.

We have had the pleasure of working with them now in 2 of our end of year shows, and we have created a magical friendship.  We love these kids and their director.  There are not many groups these days who can rise to the level of professionalism that these kids do, not only in their art form, but also in their lives.  They have learned to do hard things, and this will help them in all aspects of their lives.  Whether it be in their future careers, as parents, or whatever the case may be, the Stasia Acrobats will rise above!!!

Stasia Acrobats has performed for us at multiple events.  Aric and his team were extremely easy and accommodating to work with.  The most recent event they made an appearance at was  very spur of the moment and without hesitation they committed to attending.  They were very punctual, considerate and sensitive toward the group they performed for.

They definitely demonstrate skill, enthusiasm and a true love for what they do!  They rely on each other for strength and communication and are devoted to their group.
